Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website or services, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

A quick note. This policy is written in plain language to be genuinely useful to parents and students. It is a general template and not legal advice. Please have a qualified lawyer review and adapt it for your specific operations before you publish it.

01 Who we are

Reportcards- A Learning Centre ("we", "us" or "our") is an educational coaching centre based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. We provide academic coaching and learning resources for students from kindergarten through Class 12. We are responsible for the personal information collected through this website and in the course of providing our services.

02 Information we collect

We only collect information we actually need to respond to you and run our classes well. This includes:

Information you give us

  • Enquiry and demo details: student name, parent or guardian name, contact number, email address, and the class, grade or subject you are interested in, submitted through our forms.
  • Enrolment details: if your child joins us, further information needed to teach and support them, such as school, board, academic history and learning needs you choose to share.
  • Communications: messages you send us by form, email, phone or messaging apps.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: basic technical information such as browser type, device, pages visited and time spent, gathered through standard web analytics.

03 How we use your information

We use the information above to:

  • respond to your enquiry and schedule a free demo or consultation;
  • provide, manage and improve our coaching, programmes and learning products;
  • share progress updates, assessments and class information with parents;
  • send you service messages and, where you have agreed, occasional updates about our programmes;
  • keep our website secure and understand how it is used; and
  • meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use a child's information to show targeted advertising.

04 Our basis for using your information

We process personal information in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law. Depending on the situation, we rely on your consent, the need to provide a service you have asked for, or our legitimate interest in running and improving the centre. Where the law requires consent, we ask for it clearly, and you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us.

05 Children's information

Much of our work involves children. We treat their information with extra care.

  • We collect a child's information only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, and only what is needed to teach and support the child.
  • We do not knowingly use a child's data in any way likely to cause harm, and we do not carry out targeted advertising or behavioural tracking directed at children.
  • A parent or guardian can review, update or ask us to delete their child's information at any time.

If you believe a child has provided us information without the right consent, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.

06 When we share information

We keep your information within our centre wherever possible. We share it only in these limited situations:

  • Trusted service providers who help us operate, for example website hosting, communication or payment tools. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
  • Legal reasons, where we are required to share information by law, court order or a valid request from a public authority.
  • Business changes, if the centre is reorganised, with the same protections continuing to apply.

07 How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described here, or for as long as the law requires. Enquiry details for demos that do not lead to enrolment are kept for a limited period and then deleted. When information is no longer needed, we delete it securely.

08 How we protect your information

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to limit who inside the centre can access it.

09 Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you or your child;
  • correct information that is inaccurate or out of date;
  • delete information where it is no longer needed;
  • withdraw a consent you previously gave; and
  • raise a concern about how we handle your information.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will respond within a reasonable time.
